  not being a jw anymore but still fading because of a long history of involvement and friends, i will be attending parts of the ogden utah district convention.

  All that pain, loneliness, lack of real love, ----- stare and wonder, WHAT?

  almost 90% of the jw's in the ranks right now, knew/hoped the 1914 things was right.

  there is almost a collective 'sigh' that you can hear among the followers.

  child molestation, selling buildings, commercials on tv, and the relentless march of internet information is going to erode the imperseptable increase to a decrease.

  JW's How do you see whats odd here?

  you never here about compassion for mankind unless it's at the end of the guilt sentence of ' you have a responsibility to preach'.

  if you ask a specific question to 50 catholic's or mormons, or bahai's, whatever, you will get at least 45 to 50 different answers.

  if you ask a specific question to a jw about meeting attendance, birthdays etc you will likely get the same answer from 48 of those 50 people.

  min, my wife is 'was duped' and i joke with her about how we are on the same chapter instead of the same page.

  she has some anger issues to say the least.

  i came in when i was 17-18. studied with an elder with the intent of proving him wrong to get back at my psycho 'dub mom.

  at the time it made sense.

  thus started over two decades of service.

  Memorial experience........ rude etc.

  nothing much to say other than i finally understand why persons who 'don't go' go to the memorial.

  it is a good time to reflect on what jesus did.

  the funny thing is "jw's" attitude about it is, 'why bother?

  Why do some of you get so worked up over this, JW's control relies on lack

  most people are angry at themselves for not seeing it sooner and they just blame the wtbs.

  if it was not them there would be something else that 'filled their need' and would have ensnared them.

  i have been a jw for more than 10 years and less than 30. i'm not naive about the ways of the borg.

  i was a hot shot jw at one time, one of the few that enjoyed 90% acceptance from my audience.

  this is one of the things that has brought me some trouble.
